Yan Vinarskiy brings a wealth of experience in business leadership, growth, and innovation. A graduate of the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics and Public Policy, Yan has built an impressive career. Looking to acquire a business, Yan engaged Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team.
Floorguard Products has established itself as a “one-stop shop” for floor coating solutions, offering products like epoxy coatings, concrete repair solutions, and more. The company has built a reputation for delivering top-quality products and services to its customers.
The acquisition reflects the ideal transition for the business. Sellers Gus and Pamela Schuberth were not seeking to sell to a private equity firm or family office but rather sought an entrepreneurial buyer who shared their vision and values. Yan’s focus on preserving and building upon Floorguard’s legacy made him the perfect fit.

Calder’s Buy-Side team made 13 introductions and set up 8 introductions with off-market sellers for Yan before going under a signed Letter of Intent with Floorguard Products.
