Calder Capital is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of certain assets of Master Precision Mold of Greenville, Michigan by Big Shoulders Capital of Northbrook, Illinois.
Founded in 1962, Master Precision Mold has been a cornerstone in the mold design, engineering, and manufacturing industry. Under the leadership of Steve Drake Jr., Master Precision Mold has navigated both prosperous and challenging times, maintaining a reputation for quality and reliability. Steve engaged Calder’s Sell-Side team to sell the business to pursue other interests, signaling a new chapter for himself.
Big Shoulders Capital, based in Illinois, is a family office that specializes in debt and equity investments in lower middle-market manufacturing companies. The addition of Master Precision Mold’s asset base will align strategically with the company’s existing portfolio within the manufacturing sector.
The transaction was facilitated by Calder Capital Advisors Jared Friar and John Harrington.
The Calder Capital team orchestrated a swift and efficient process, impressively completing the entire transaction in only 36 days from launch to close. Master Precision Mold launched to market on November 25th, garnered interest from 88 qualified buyers resulting in 3 offers, and concluded the acquisition on December 31st.
