Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is thrilled to welcome Jamie Carlstedt as our newest Buy-Side M&A Advisor.

Introducing Jamie:
Originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, Jamie has a strong foundation in investment banking and principal investing, along with hands-on experience across multiple middle-market companies. He began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York City before transitioning to a family office environment, where he focused on commercial real estate, private equity, and private debt investments. Jamie has also worked closely with middle-market businesses on strategic growth initiatives. These experiences have given him a well-rounded perspective on both advisory and operational sides of transactions. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Michigan State University’s Honors College with a degree in accounting, a minor in spanish, and was an active member of the Financial Markets Institute (FMI).
Jamie is eager to get started, adding that he is most looking forward to “working with excited, energized buyers to build their businesses and portfolios. Helping others grow and expand is exciting work!”
Motivated by health, growth, contribution, and wealth, Jamie approaches both his personal and professional life with purpose and discipline. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking in the mountains, exploring the outdoors, and traveling with family and friends. He is also passionate about CrossFit, discovering new coffee shops, and enjoying great meals. Jamie values time with loved ones, appreciates a good book, and never passes up the chance to laugh at a bad joke. He also gives back by volunteering at his local church.
In his new role as a Buy-Side M&A Advisor, Jamie will take charge of deals from the moment a client is ready to move forward with a warm lead through closing. He’ll lead the team, facilitate introductions, oversee valuations, guide deal structure, negotiate for clients, secure financing, manage due diligence, and coordinate the closing process to ensure a smooth transaction.
“Jamie’s experience across both institutional finance and hands-on private equity investment gives him a unique ability to understand what buyers truly need to succeed. His mindset, strong values, and commitment to stewardship make him a natural fit for our team and our clients,” said Sam Scharich, Calder’s Buy-Side Managing Director.
We’re excited to have Jamie on the Calder Capital team and look forward to the drive, passion, and focus he will offer. To learn more about Jamie’s professional journey, connect with him on LinkedIn.
