Role Overview
Calder Capital is a leading investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions. We are seeking highly motivated young professionals to join our team as Analysts. As a Sell Side Analyst, you will serve to support the sell-side in managing and coordinating the firm’s diverse needs regarding, but not limited to, financial analysis, financial modeling, prospect and other research, organization, prospect/client interaction, project management, CIM writing and/or coordination, and due diligence assistance.
Responsibilities
- Financial Information Management: Request and follow up on financial information from prospects and clients to ensure timely collection and accuracy.
- Financial Analysis and Valuation: Accurately spread, analyze, and interpret financial statements and supporting documents; generate insightful questions and comments to support valuations and client understanding.
- Business Understanding and Documentation: Listen carefully, think critically, and document key learnings about each business being analyzed, providing the foundation for advisory and valuation work.
- Valuation Presentation and Review: Learn, utilize, and improve valuation presentation tools; produce professional, client-ready analyses and participate in reviews with clients and prospects, answering questions and clarifying findings.
- Marketing Material Creation: Develop Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) from the ground up, incorporating detailed financial analyses and business insights.
- Client Relationship Support: Assist in the creation and execution of CRM campaigns that align with client engagement strategies.
- Team Development: Manage, mentor, and review the work of interns, ensuring accuracy, quality, and professional growth toward future analyst roles.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3.60+ GPA
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically and translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM platforms a plus.
- Highly organized with strong time management and project coordination skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in mentoring others.
