Recognized deals must also meet a minimum value of $10 million USD and have been completed between Q2 2024 and Q1 2025.
Calder Capital represented BCU Electric as its exclusive Sell-Side M&A Advisor, and the award-winning transaction closed on February 27, 2025. BCU Electric, a leading electrical project design and services firm based in Ashland, Ohio, was acquired by Meptagon Group, a global industrial engineering and construction firm, headquartered in Netanya, Israel.
This strategic cross-border acquisition provides Meptagon with a strong platform for U.S. expansion and offers BCU a pathway to continued growth under a well-capitalized international partner.
Calder Capital’s Lead M&A Advisors, Sam Scharich and Mathew Baas, led a highly competitive sales process that yielded eight offers, ultimately securing a deal nearly double the value of the seller’s original, unsolicited, off-market offer. Of the top four LOIs extended to the seller, the countries represented were Israel, Poland, Canada, and the United States. The transaction involved complex cross-border financing and extended diligence timelines, all of which were successfully navigated through close coordination and transparency between the deal teams.
