Calder Capital is pleased to announce that Garrett Monroe, Sell-Side Managing Director, has been named a winner of The M&A Advisor’s 17th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards. This national recognition honors top-performing M&A, financing, and turnaround professionals under the age of 40 who have made notable contributions to the industry and their communities.

Garrett’s Recognition
After joining Calder Capital as an analyst, Garrett Monroe advanced to M&A Advisor within one year of graduation and became the firm’s top revenue producer for four consecutive years, a distinction earned within a team of more than 30 revenue-generating professionals. In 2025, he was promoted to Sell-Side Managing Director, assuming leadership of Calder’s national sell-side practice. As Sell-Side Managing Director, Garrett oversees 15 advisors, eight staff members, and a team of eight interns, ensuring process consistency and analytical standards across all engagements. He oversees valuation methodology, negotiation strategy, client engagement management, and national business development architecture.
Garrett has personally closed 30 transactions across manufacturing, distribution, services, construction, technology, and healthcare. He has led sell-side transactions involving strategic acquirers, private equity firms, search funds, and international buyers. His experience includes cross-border execution, such as the sale of Eidemiller Precision Machining to Japan-based Kyowa Industrial; private equity platform integrations, including Nordic Hot Tubs and B&L Bolt; snd founder-led majority recapitalizations such as Capital Stoneworks.

Garrett invests meaningful time mentoring students at Grand Valley State University, providing one-on-one career guidance to finance and business majors pursuing roles in investment banking and advisory. He reviews resumes, conducts mock interviews, and offers candid insight into the demands of transactional careers, helping students translate academic preparation into professional readiness.
Within the West Michigan business community, Garrett actively participates in peer leadership groups including the Driven Group, contributing to conversations around responsible growth, leadership accountability, and regional economic development. Garrett also serves in leadership and volunteer capacities within his church community, contributing both time and financial support. He supports King’s Table Ministries, an organization serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, through volunteer engagement and ongoing charitable contributions.
