Hannelore’s Recognition
Since joining Calder Capital in January 2023, Hannelore Jones has become a key contributor to the firm’s growth from approximately $8 million in revenue to more than $17 million in revenue. She entered the role without prior mergers and acquisitions experience and quickly established herself as a trusted leader in process optimization, systems improvement, and scalable operational infrastructure.

As Director of Operations, Jones oversees Calder’s operations and administrative team while guiding functions that include CRM management, business development programs, public relations, accounts receivable, human resources, and website and SEO strategy. A Keap Certified Partner, she has led firmwide automation initiatives designed to improve workflows and data integrity, reduce administrative demands on dealmakers, and strengthen the systems needed to support Calder’s national growth.
One of Jones’ most measurable contributions has been scaling a CRM‑driven email outreach program that became Calder’s third‑largest source of seller leads. She also developed a more structured public relations and website‑content strategy, improved prospecting and collections processes, and addressed operational gaps in HR and payroll. Collectively, these initiatives increased organizational capacity and helped position the firm for continued growth.
Max Friar, Founder and Managing Partner stated, “Hannelore is one of the hardest-working people I have ever met. She approaches every challenge with empathy, thoughtful decision-making, and a level of judgment that far exceeds her years. Since joining Calder, she has helped us grow 14 years in less than four!”

In the last three years, Jones’ role has grown alongside the firm. After initially managing many day‑to‑day functions herself, she now oversees a growing team responsible for executing the processes and responsibilities she helped create. She continuously identifies opportunities to improve how the firm operates as it scales, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. Her expanding leadership responsibilities culminated in her promotion to Director of Operations in September 2025.
Brandon Sinclair, Director of Marketing commented, “Hannelore is a tremendous leader to work with and work for, and, on behalf of my Operations Team colleagues at Calder, we couldn’t be happier to see her recognized by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business. Hannelore is a servant leader who works incredibly hard, and smart, and cares deeply about her team and the company as a whole. She leads by example, collaborates across teams, and helps create an environment where people can grow together. Her leadership continues to make Calder a better place to work and a stronger partner for buyers and sellers of businesses.”

Jones has a heart for community service; as a Director Champion for Maybel’s Legacy Animal Rescue, she has assisted with event coordination, drafted foster and volunteer handbooks, expanded the organization’s social media presence, and helped coordinate adoption events.
Through Calder, Jones has coordinated volunteer teams supporting Home Repair Services of Kent County, including wheelchair ramp installations and deck repairs. She has also led Calder’s participation in the YWCA Walk for Change and has organized Angel Tree drives annually at Calder since joining in 2023. She also led Calder’s participation in the 2026 Swim Safe for Silas life jacket drive. In 2025, Jones organized Calder’s annual Deal Ball, which brought together 150 attendees; during the event, she played a part in raising $31,000 for the YWCA of West Central Michigan, Beyond26, and MomsBloom.

“I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition, but I know I would not be here without the trust and belief of the people at Calder. I’ve been given opportunities to learn, grow, make mistakes, and take on challenges I never would have imagined for myself, and I don’t take that for granted,” Hannelore remarked. “I genuinely love coming to work every day and being a small part of helping business owners, buyers, and their families through such an important time in their lives. More than anything, I’m thankful for the people I get to work alongside and for the opportunity to contribute to something much bigger than myself.”
