Introducing Drew

Originally from Rockford, Michigan, Drew brings a strong foundation in finance and a growing passion for mergers and acquisitions. He completed an Investment Banking M&A Internship at Piper Sandler, where he contributed to their Industrials and Business Services Group and he has served as a Private Equity Intern at Seneca Partners. Drew graduated with a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Minor in Real Estate from Michigan State University, where he also led a Christian bible study on campus.

When asked what led him to join Calder Capital, Drew emphasized the firm's hands-on approach and people-first philosophy. “I joined Calder Capital because I wanted to work with a team that’s hands-on and genuinely focused on helping business owners through major transitions. It felt like the right place to grow and make a real impact.”

Drew is eager to jump into his new role, sharing, “I’m really looking forward to hearing the unique stories behind each business, understanding what matters most to the owners, and playing a meaningful part in helping shape their futures.”

Driven by continuous improvement and a desire to step outside his comfort zone, Drew finds motivation in the pursuit of growth. On his days off, he enjoys playing golf and pickleball, and taking to the skies with his drone for a fresh perspective.

In his new role as Sell-Side Investment Banking Analyst, Drew will support Calder’s sell-side deal team. He will serve on the team that functions as the financial and operational cornerstone of Calder’s sell-side practice. He will perform business valuations, prepare offering materials, conduct market research, and facilitate communications between clients and prospective buyers. His contributions will be key in helping business owners capture maximum attention from qualified buyers and achieve successful exits.

“Drew’s eagerness to dive in, paired with his impressive, prior internship experience in private equity and investment banking, make him an exciting addition to the Sell-Side team. His humility, intellect, and desire to contribute meaningfully are exactly what we look for at Calder Capital. I’m confident he’ll be a high-impact player on our Sell-Side team,” said Max Friar, Founder and Managing Partner of Calder Capital.

We’re excited to have Drew Woods on the Calder Capital team and look forward to the enthusiasm and experience he’ll bring. To learn more about Drew's professional journey, connect with him on LinkedIn.
