Introducing Ken:
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and now residing in Allendale, Ken joins Calder Capital with a background in business ownership, leadership, and exit planning. He has owned several companies since approximately age 24 and has spent the past eight years as a Certified EOS Implementer. He is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Value Advisor. Ken attended Grand Rapids Christian High School and took business classes at Davenport University.
When asked what led him to Calder Capital, Ken’s answer was simple: “I love the work!” Ken is looking forward to closing deals, as well as meeting and working with great people. His experience owning companies brings a business owner’s perspective to his work, while his motivation centers on helping others and embracing the challenges along the way.
Outside of work, Ken enjoys woodworking and building furniture. He also volunteers with Remembrance Ranch, a nonprofit, faith-based, non-denominational, therapeutic program for underprivileged teens. His motto, “Helping business owners build value, gain freedom, and choose their future,” captures the purpose behind his work. Ken describes his approach to work and life with a simple statement: “I never give up.”

In his role as a Buy-Side M&A Advisor on Calder’s Buy-Side team, Ken will guide clients through the acquisition process, participating in client and target meetings, reviewing valuations and offers with the team, and advising on deal structure. He will negotiate on behalf of clients, support financing efforts, and help buyers navigate due diligence and closing.
“Ken brings firsthand experience as a business owner, along with a background in helping owners strengthen their businesses through acquisition. We’re excited to welcome Ken to Calder’s Buy-Side team. We are eager to see him, his experience, and his determination go to work for our clients,” remarked Sam Scharich, Buy-Side Managing Director at Calder Capital.
We’re thrilled to welcome Ken to the Calder Capital team. To learn more about Ken’s professional journey, connect with him on LinkedIn.
