Introducing Nick Browning, Calder's Newest Sell-Side Analyst!

Calder Capital, an award-winning national M&A advisory firm, is proud to announce the addition of Nick Browning as a new member of its team. 

A native of Clinton Township, Michigan, Nick is a proud alumnus of Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where he completed his degree in Business Administration, double majoring in Finance and Economics and minoring in Data Science.

Nick previously interned at Blackford Capital, held a Financial Analyst role at MarshBerry, and notably, he returns to Calder where he previously interned as a Junior Analyst. Additionally, he spent two and a half years in Seidman IPO, GVSU’s student-led investment portfolio, as an Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Vice President of Portfolio Management. When asked about his motivation to rejoin Calder Capital in a full-time role, Nick emphasized his excitement about “the closely-knit culture, meaningful work, and entrepreneurial mindset of the Company”. 

“I am looking forward to being able to apply my analytical skills within the work at Calder and to provide resources necessary to help sustain the Company's current growth trajectory,” he shared when asked what excited him most about the role. “In addition, I am excited to work in a collaborative environment to be able to achieve success as a team.”

Nick is driven by the pursuit of knowledge, the impact of his contributions, and the meaningfulness of his work. He lives by Mahatma Gandhi's words, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world," reflecting his proactive and innovative approach to work.

Outside of his professional life, Nick is a man of diverse interests. He is passionate about learning languages, playing musical instruments, and spending time with friends and family. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys playing sports and is a dedicated fan of the Detroit Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His love for travel exposes him to various cultures, enriching his understanding and appreciation of global diversity.

In his new capacity at Calder, Nick will join the Central Services team, who serve as the financial and operational cornerstone of Calder's sell-side practice. This team operates as an unseen yet essential force, diligently working on business valuations, crafting marketing materials, and strategically positioning each sell-side client to capture maximum attention from qualified buyers. Moreover, Nick's role will extend to copiloting analytical research projects, further driving the team's capabilities.
