Multi-State MAACO Operator Stonewall Road Automotive Group Acquired!

May 2020 – Calder Capital, LLC is pleased to announce the successful sale of multi-state MAACO franchise operator, Stonewall Road Automotive Group LLC, to Collision Consolidation Company LLC.

Operating in three states in the Midwest, the Stonewall Road Automotive Group LLC (“SRAG”) is a multi-shop operator of MAACO automotive repair centers. SRAG is one of the largest multi-unit franchisees within the national MAACO system and has been consistently recognized as a performance leader in the automotive repair industry.

Stonewall Road Automotive Group, through its individual MAACO stores, is a provider of a wide variety of auto collision and repair services including paint services, cosmetic car repairs, fleet and industrial services, paintless dent repair, spray bed lining, windshield repair, truck and oversized equipment outfitting, and direct insurer repair programs. The company will continue to operate under the SRAG name and all key people are remaining with the firm following the transition.

SRAG’s world-class operations team is led by a former multi-unit MAACO franchise owner, Taso Bournousouzis, and a former senior executive at MAACO, Doug Engle. SRAG’s industry-renowned operations team also includes other former multi-unit franchisees, experienced general managers, and other MAACO veterans, many of whom boast several decades of experience in the MAACO system. The operations team at SRAG will serve as a tremendous asset as Collision Consolidation Company looks to drive further growth.

Nick Rhoads, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Heritage Partners Group, the seller of Stonewall Road Automotive Group, was incredibly pleased with the transaction stating, “We believe Calder Capital has found an excellent fit with the current buyers to continue SRAG’s story and growth trajectory. The team is qualified, energized, and ready to grow. We appreciate the effort put forth in qualifying a buyer that would fit the strict MAACO franchise standards, and we are glad we chose Calder Capital to represent the sale of our business.” Nathan Hamilton, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Heritage, added, “Collision Consolidation Company is the perfect successor to build upon the leading MSO platform we created at SRAG, and the Calder team proved themselves to be collaborative partners every step of the way.”

Calder Capital Lead Advisors Patrick Robey and Edson Ramirez worked diligently on the transaction for SRAG, culminating in a successful 5-month transaction process, from start to finish. The transaction’s completion in April of 2020 displays that no matter the environment, transactions can get done.

Collision Consolidation Company’s lead partner, Mike O’Brien, noted, “We are very pleased with this acquisition. We were seeking a solid platform by which to selectively add bolt-on acquisitions. After a period of integration and understanding, we will be prepared to begin looking for additional ways to grow the company, both organically and via acquisition.” Patrick Robey and Edson Ramirez will remain involved with the company post-close as directors and advisors for Collision Consolidation Company.

Calder Capital’s Managing Partner, Max Friar, had this to say about the transaction, “The Stonewall Road Automotive Group transaction was #15 for the Calder/SBDA team on the year so far. We are extremely pleased to have completed this transaction, especially amidst COVID-19. We continue to receive inquiries from buyers looking for quality opportunities and transactions continue to progress. We continue to invest in technology and creative ideas.  Despite these challenging times, we are moving ahead at record-breaking pace!”

Calder Capital represented the Stonewall Road Automotive Group as its exclusive Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory firm.
