Current Role: Jakob joined Calder Capital as an intern in January 2021, working on financial analysis, valuations, confidential marketing materials, and due diligence. After graduating in May 2021, he transitioned to a full-time position leading and managing the analyst team. In 2023, Jakob stepped into his current role as a Sell-Side M&A Advisor serving the state of Tennessee.

Background: Jakob earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a focus on investments from Grand Valley State University. While at Grand Valley, he was heavily involved in extracurriculars, serving as the CFO of the investment club, a portfolio manager for the student investment fund, and participating in both the economics and supply chain management clubs. He also competed in various case competitions.

Hobbies: Jakob is a Grand Rapids native now living in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a University of Michigan sports enthusiast and a lover of the outdoors. When not in the office, he enjoys going on hikes, trying new food, finding new hobbies, and playing sports such as golf and soccer.
