Calder Capital is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of Bontrager Pools, of Elkhart and South Bend, Indiana, by MPD Pool Holdings of Chicago, Illinois.
Founded in 1977, Bontrager Pools has been a go-to choice for custom pool design, construction, and maintenance in the Michiana region. Ready to transition to the next phase of their lives, Donald Bontrager and Dustin Lockwood engaged Calder Capital to find their successor.
“I’m not really sure about retirement yet, I enjoy working but this relieves some of the stress owning a business gives you,” Dustin shared when asked about his future plans. “I will probably spend more time at our lake house and time with family for a while. Then possibly start something else up, never know”

The acquisition process was swift and effective. Bontrager Pools went to market on August 8th, drawing 38 interested buyers and yielding two solid offers. The deal progressed with a Letter of Intent (LOI) on September 1st and concluded successfully on December 29th.
