Transaction Summary
Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is delighted to announce the successful acquisition of a Pacific Coast, U.S.A.-based water treatment equipment distributor by a Midwest, U.S.A.-based stocking distributor.
The Acquisition Story
The Buyer is a family-owned stocking distributor serving the water treatment, agriculture, lawn care, beverage, and car wash industries. Since 1970, the Company has supplied customers nationwide with hoses, tubing, fittings, valves, and related products from leading manufacturers.
Seeking to broaden the Buyer’s product offerings while expanding its presence within the water treatment industry, the Buyer engaged Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team to identify acquisition opportunities. Ultimately, Calder brokered the acquisition of the Seller.
The Seller is a family-owned distributor of water treatment equipment, supplies, and replacement components for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Under long-standing leadership, the Company continues to build lasting customer relationships through knowledgeable service, dependable inventory, and quality products. As an established distributor with complementary products and customers across the United States and Canada, the Seller aligned closely with the Buyer’s acquisition strategy.

Calder Capital’s Transaction Team and Sale Process
The transaction was led by Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team, including Sam Scharich (Buy-Side Managing Director), Hannah Nabhan (Buy-Side Director), and Alex Fleschig (Senior Associate).
Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team generated 37 off-market seller introductions, leading to nine client pursuits, three letters of intent on unique businesses, and ultimately the successful acquisition of the Seller. The process moved from LOI to close in approximately 4.5 months.
Fleschig stated, “The Buyer was thoughtful and focused throughout the acquisition process. He had a clear vision for the type of company he wanted to acquire and remained patient until the right opportunity presented itself. The Seller was an excellent strategic fit, and we’re excited to see the stocking distributor continue building on its growth.”
“Congratulations to everyone involved in this successful acquisition. I’m especially proud of Hannah, Alex, and our Buy-Side team for the outstanding work they did throughout the search process,” Scharich added. “Hearing the Buyer describe Calder as the ‘Goldman Sachs of the lower middle market’ is an incredible compliment and a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and persistence our team brings to every client engagement. We wish our client continued success as they build upon the water treatment equipment distributor’s strong foundation!”
Calder Capital served as the Exclusive Buy-Side Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor to the Buyer.
