Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is excited to welcome Sherri Engel as our new Office & Listing Administrator.
Introducing Sherri:
Originally from Birch Run, Michigan, Sherri relocated to Grandville, Michigan, about 18 months ago and has quickly embraced life on the west side of the state. She brings a wealth of experience supporting automotive R&D engineering offices, having spent several years at General Motors and later with suppliers serving leading manufacturing companies. Sherri also spent time with a Dow subsidiary, adding to her broad understanding of process, coordination, and professional communication. A self-taught and highly adaptable professional, she has built her career through hands-on experience and a passion for helping others succeed.
When asked what led her to join Calder Capital, Sherri shared that she was immediately drawn to the company’s culture and people. “I researched the website and LinkedIn and believed it would be a company that I could fit into, both personally and professionally. I knew when I interviewed that I would enjoy working with this team. Since I’ve always worked with automotive engineers, I knew this would present new experiences and adventures for me as well.”
Sherri is eager to begin contributing to Calder’s success, adding, “I’m looking forward to getting to know the team and learning more about the finance world. Meeting new people and learning about a new industry is fun for me. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get to know my colleagues better.”
Motivated by a lifelong desire to help others, Sherri finds joy in being a supportive presence, whether by taking on a task to make someone’s day easier or offering a friendly ear. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Michigan’s beach towns, spending time with family and friends, especially her daughter, and appreciating the slower pace of life near the lakeshore. Sherri has also been an active supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, organizing fundraising walks and community events in the past. Her favorite motto, “Just Keep Swimming,” is a reminder to stay resilient and keep moving forward through life’s challenges.
In her new role as Office and Listing Administrator, Sherri will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and organization of Calder Capital’s national headquarters in Grand Rapids. Her responsibilities include coordinating client visits, handling day-to-day office operations, and assisting with event preparation. Additionally, she will assist with buyer inquiry management for Calder’s sell-side listings. Sherri’s attention to detail and strong organizational skills will help ensure that both internal teams and clients experience excellent communication and service.
