Calder Capital is proud to announce that Patrick Robey, M&A Advisor, has been named a winner of The M&A Advisor’s Emerging Leaders Award. This national recognition honors top-performing M&A, financing, and turnaround professionals under the age of 40 who have made notable contributions to the industry and their communities.
Since joining Calder Capital in 2016, Patrick has led some of the firm’s most significant transactions, including:
- The $75M recapitalization and acquisition of Servpro of Saginaw, which garnered finalist distinction at The M&A Advisor’s 23rd Annual M&A Awards for M&A Deal of the Year ($75M-$100M) and Industrials Deal of the Year ($50M-100M).
- The confidential $160M sale of a multi-location agricultural equipment dealership, another landmark, first-of-its-kind transaction requiring OEM approval and complex second-generation structuring.
- ADAC’s acquisition of EBW Electronics, a family-owned EMS company which was a result of a Calder Capital Buy-Side outreach campaign that resulted in over 30 qualified introductions.
Additionally, Patrick was recently recognized as the 2024 Dealmaker of the Year in the Advisor category by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.
Patrick's career is marked by a sharp strategic mind, a client-first philosophy, and exceptional deal structuring ability. Beyond his transaction work, he is also a mentor and leader at Calder, helping to refine processes, develop talent, and contribute to the firm’s overall growth, and supports client outcomes through deep due diligence and post-close planning.
“Patrick’s work ethic and client-centric mindset make him a particularly noteworthy candidate,” said Max Friar, Founder and Managing Partner of Calder Capital. “He goes well beyond the role of a traditional M&A advisor, serving as a trusted partner to clients throughout every stage of the transaction and ensuring their success post-close. We couldn’t be more proud to see his contributions recognized at a national level.”
A graduate of Hope College, Patrick is also active in the West Michigan community. He serves as a mentor inside and out of Calder Capital, volunteers with his church in providing meals to those in need, and advises the church on finances. Lastly, he serves as a judge for ACG West Michigan’s ACG Cup and consistently volunteers his time to attend classes, seminars, and other events for his alma mater, Hope College. Patrick resides in Holland, Michigan, with his wife Olivia, their daughter Charlotte, and their three Australian Shepherds, Lincoln, Tilly, and Mazie.
