Transaction Summary
Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is pleased to announce that Seven Circles Ventures of Hudsonville, Michigan, has acquired a minority stake in Van Der Kolk Plumbing of Zeeland, Michigan.
The Acquisition Story
Seven Circles Ventures is led by Chris Kunnen and Kevin Havert, West Michigan business leaders focused on partnering with owner-led companies through growth, succession, and transition opportunities. With a hands-on approach, they support strong local businesses by providing strategic guidance and long-term partnership. Seven Circles Ventures contacted Calder Capital’s Buy-Side team to identify a West Michigan company with a strong reputation, experienced leadership, and long-term growth potential, with a preference for partnering alongside an owner who wished to remain involved in the business.
Seven Circle Venture’s engagement led to Calder Capital sourcing Van Der Kolk Plumbing and facilitating the establishment of their partnership.
Founded in 2006 by Tim Van Der Kolk, Van Der Kolk Plumbing has built a reputation throughout West Michigan for dependable residential and commercial plumbing services. The company provides plumbing repairs, remodels, new construction plumbing, sewer and water line installation, drain cleaning, excavation, and related plumbing services for homeowners, contractors, and commercial customers. The founder, Tim Van Der Kolk, remains an owner and will continue helping lead the company while partnering with Seven Circles Ventures to support future growth and continued service to customers throughout West Michigan.

Calder Capital’s Transaction Team and Sale Process
Dan Duba of Calder Capital served as the Lead Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor to Seven Circles Ventures. Calder’s transaction team included Hannah Nabhan, Buy-Side Director and Logan Granger, Buy-Side Associate.
